Love Dessert
By: Jocelyn Bitagon
Love Desserts opened years ago. The first station was filled with different pastries and desserts while the second station had the crepe, ice cream and the drinks station.
Their drink station includes Milk Tea with some black pearls which you can place on your drink and Iced tea. Me and my friends curiously browsed through their buffet selections.
Choices includes deep fried items like Tuna and Chicken Empanada which you may request the waiters to reheat them for you. They also have Champorado a filipino delicacy of sticky rice, chocolate powder and milk.
They also have Cookie Jars with two kinds of crunchy cookies. Chocolate mousse cake which I was so excited to try cause they looked really good. Panna, Cotta and Coffee Jelly in Shot Glasses Fruit Salad, Brownies and Food. For the Gods Cakes and pastries which all look appetizingly sweet and a Halo-Halo station which was the main reason for my friends willingness and excitement to visit the place.
The Halo-Halo station has some of the basic toppings and ingredients for the famous Filipino dessert- Beans, Gulaman, Nata, Sago, Leche Flan, Ube, Halaya, and Pinipig.
They served 2 kinds of cake that day. I believe their cakes change once in a while since they have this freezer of different cakes on the side which are also available for purchase. They also have a Crepe station where you can have your freshly prepared crepes with different flavors to choose from. They have banana, apple, blueberry, peach, and cherry fruit fillings with 4 kinds of syrup- strawberry, chocolate, white chocolate and caramel. They also have a Nusica chocolate spread that is a perfect combination for a banana.
And just beside the crepe station is their ice cream station where they serve Big Scoop Ice Cream with different toppings of your choice such as choco wafer sticks, gummies, sprinkles, chocolate chips, big and small marshmallows and some colorful rainbow nips.
I thought that their P229 per person rate is already a fair price for their offerings. But for those who can’t consume P229worth of sweets, Good News! They also have an a la carte menu for you!
Judging from the menu, all selections are reasonably priced with prices below a hundred pesos only. But after seeing all the sweets and desserts posted above, who wouldn’t go for the unlimited desserts right???
So what are you waiting for?? Go to the nearest Love Dessert and try their Food and Desserts
Velvet Friends Cat Cafe

But if you want to enter their “cat zone”, you’ll need to shell out PHP290 (regular). This includes 1 milkshake (chocolate, vanilla or strawberry) and 1 hour in the cat play area. You also need to give a PHP50 deposit in order to use a locker. You’ll get the deposit back after your time’s up, after returning the locker key. Entree Fees (per hour):

Senior Citizens: 190

Regular: 290
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Bring your own socks. All visitors are required to wear socks before entering the cat play area. You have to leave your shoes/footwear in the lockers.
Here are a few safety reminders from Velvet Friends Cat Cafe. You have to sign this waiver before entering the Cat Haven.
And now on the Cats.
They have cats of various breeds. According to their staff, all of them are male in order to avoid chaos. Although, future branches may feature an all-female cast of cats. (CAST OF CATS, tongu-twister!)
They’re either motionless and asleep, or lightning quick. They can also move silently almost like hunters sneaking about. They won’t beg for your attention but once you do get on their good side, they’re really fun to cuddle and play with.
The girls and I really enjoyed our fur-tastic day at Velvet Friends Cat Cafe! You should definitely check it out. Right meow! badum tss

samgyeop-sal (삼겹살) means “three layer flesh,” referring to striations of lean meat and fat in the pork belly that appear as three layers when cut. In Korea, the word samgyeop-sal, meaning “pork belly”, often refers to samgyeop-sal-gui (grilled pork belly). The meat is usually neither marinated nor seasoned, although marinated samgyeopsal in flavors such as ginseng, wine, garlic, herbs, curry, doenjang, and gochujang has gained popularity since the late 2000s. Slices of garlic, onions, green chili peppers, mushrooms, and kimchi are often grilled alongside using the fat trickling from the pork belly.
Grilled meat is placed on fresh and/or pickled leaves of vegetables, with some ssamjang, and rolled up to make ssam (wrap) which is eaten in one mouthful. Any combination of accompaniments can be added to the roll according to preference, most popularly sliced garlic.
Samgyupsalamat Unlimited Korean BBQ serves 9 different delicious types of meat.
